Elgin Baylor
Elgin Gay Baylor was a revolutionary American basketball player who transformed the sport by taking it off the hardwood and into the air. A transcendent forward for the Minneapolis and Los Angeles Lakers, his mid-air body control, hanging bank shots, and 61-point outburst in the 1962 NBA Finals paved the way for Julius Erving, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant.
