Biographical Record

Yitzhak Rabin was an Israeli politician, statesman, and general who served as the fifth Prime Minister of Israel (1974–1977 and 1992–1995). A decorated soldier who led Israel to victory in the 1967 Six-Day War, he embraced courageous peace diplomacy, signing the Oslo Accords with the PLO for which he received the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize before being assassinated by an extremist.
