Biographical Record

Vallabhacharya (1479–1531 CE) was an Telugu Brahmin prodigy who defeated rival scholars at the imperial court of Vijayanagara emperor Krishnadevaraya.

He taught that the universe is not an illusion (Maya) but the real manifestation of Krishna, establishing Pushtimarg ('Path of Grace') centered on joyful selfless devotion (Seva).
