Archival Overview

Sixth Pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty, acclaimed by modern historians as the 'Napoleon of Egypt', who conducted seventeen victorious military campaigns and built the largest empire in Egyptian history.

Biographical Record

Thutmose III (c. 1481–1425 BCE) was the son of Thutmose II. Following the death of his stepmother Hatshepsut, he took sole command of Egypt's military forces, demonstrating peerless strategic vision, cavalry audacity, and administrative discipline over fifty-four years of reign.

In his first campaign in 1457 BCE, Thutmose took an unexpected narrow mountain pass to surprise and shatter a Canaanite coalition at the Battle of Megiddo. Across seventeen campaigns, he subjugated 350 cities from northern Syria and the Euphrates River to Nubia at the Fourth Cataract of the Nile, transforming Egypt into the supreme superpower of the ancient world.
