Biographical Record
Sidi Ali Boughalib is the venerated patron saint and spiritual guardian of the historic northern Moroccan city of Ksar El Kebir. Living in the twelfth century during the Almohad era, he studied Maliki jurisprudence before retiring into intense mystical devotion on the banks of the Loukkos river.
His hermitage became a vibrant center of charity, offering shelter to poor travelers and orphans. His annual religious festival ('Moussem of Sidi Boughalib') remains one of the largest popular gatherings in the Loukkos basin, celebrating community solidarity and spiritual peace.
