Biographical Record

Sergius Bulgakov (1871–1944 CE) was a Marxist economics professor who returned to the Russian Orthodox Church, being ordained to the priesthood amidst the 1918 Revolution.

Expelled from Soviet Russia on the famous 'Philosophers' Ships' in 1922, he co-founded the Saint Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute in Paris, authoring the great dogmatic trilogy on Sophia.
