Lot (known in Arabic as Lut) accompanied his uncle Abraham on his monumental migration from Ur of the Chaldees into the land of Canaan and Egypt. Endowed with prophetic vision and spiritual strength, he settled in the lush valley of the Jordan to minister to the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah.
