Only son born to Abraham and Sarah in their centenarian years as a fulfillment of divine promise. Re-dug the wells of his father, chose peace over conflict with the Philistines, and maintained the covenant.

Biographical Record

Isaac's willingness to submit to divine testing alongside his father upon Mount Moriah remains an enduring monument of spiritual surrender in monotheistic faith. Married to Rebecca, he fathered Jacob and Esau.

When neighboring herdsmen repeatedly disputed ownership over his water wells at Esek and Sitnah, Isaac peacefully withdrew and dug anew until reaching Rehoboth ("Broad Places"), demonstrating that reconciliation triumphs over strife.
