Biographical Record

Paul Signac (1863–1935 CE) was an avid sailor and painter who collaborated with Seurat in developing divisionism (pointillism), applying pure dots of pigment that blend in the viewer's eye.

Following Seurat's early death, Signac led the movement, sailing his yacht around French ports and penning D'Eugène Delacroix au néo-impressionnisme, which became the bible for the Fauves.
