Biographical Record

Martin Bucer (1491–1551 CE), an ex-Dominican influenced by Erasmus and Luther, transformed the free imperial city of Strasbourg into a tolerant haven for religious refugees.

Known as the great mediator between Swiss and German reformations, he was invited to England by Archbishop Cranmer in 1549, serving as Regius Professor of Divinity at Cambridge.
