Liubov Popova synthesized Cubism, Italian Futurism, and Russian Suprematism into a distinct personal style known as Cubo-Futurism. Between 1916 and 1921, she developed her renowned 'Painterly Architectonics' series—taut, intersecting geometric planes charged with tectonic force, spatial layering, and rhythmic tension.

Following the October Revolution, Popova renounced easel painting as bourgeois, embracing Productivism and Constructivism. She designed revolutionary biomechanical stage sets for Vsevolod Meyerhold's 'The Magnanimous Cuckold' (1922) and created mass-produced geometric textile patterns for the First State Textile Print Factory until her tragic death from scarlet fever at 35.
