Sir John Arthur Brabham (1926–2014) was an Australian racing driver and constructor who revolutionized Grand Prix racing. A former RAAF flight mechanic, Brabham pioneered the rear-engine revolution in Formula One, winning back-to-back World Championships in 1959 and 1960 for Cooper.

In 1966, driving a car bearing his own name powered by an Australian Repco V8 engine, Brabham captured his third World Championship—an unmatched achievement in the entire history of Formula One.
