Biographical Record

Huldrych Zwingli (1484–1531 CE) was an accomplished humanist priest who began preaching through the Gospel of Matthew in Zurich in 1519, independent of Luther.

He abolished the Roman Catholic Mass, fasting, images, and organs in Zurich, famously disputing with Martin Luther over Christ's physical presence at the 1529 Marburg Colloquy.
