Biographical Record
Guru Nanak was born in Rai Bhoi di Talvandi (now Nankana Sahib, Pakistan) and displayed deep spiritual contemplation from childhood. Following a mystical revelation at the Kali Bein river, he uttered his famous proclamation: 'There is no Hindu, there is no Muslim; there is only one creation.'
Nanak undertook four great spiritual journeys (Udasis) covering thousands of miles across South Asia, Tibet, and the Middle East, accompanied by his Muslim companion Bhai Mardana on the rabab. He founded the community at Kartarpur, establishing the three core tenets: Naam Japna (prayer), Kirat Karo (honest labor), and Vand Chhako (charity/langar).
