Frederick John 'Fred' Perry (1909–1995) was a working-class British sporting giant who conquered tennis's upper-class establishment. Perry won eight Grand Slam singles titles, including three consecutive Wimbledon championships (1934–1936), and led Great Britain to four consecutive Davis Cup victories.

He was the first tennis player to win all four Grand Slam singles titles (Career Grand Slam). Perry also became a World Table Tennis Champion in 1929 before later establishing his world-famous polo shirt and sportswear empire with its iconic laurel wreath logo.
