Biographical Record

Catherine of Siena (1347–1380 CE) was the 24th child of a Sienese cloth-dyer who consecrated her virginity at age seven and entered the Dominican Mantellate.

An unlettered woman who dictated sublime spiritual letters, she boldly admonished popes and kings, nursed plague victims, and dictated The Dialogue, wherein Christ reveals the bridge of salvation.
