"He supplied the arms that liberated the fatherland, sacrificing life and fortune for the dawn of independence."

Archival Overview

Sous-born Casablanca merchant and legendary logistics commander of the Moroccan Secret Organization (Al-Mounaddama al-Sirriya) who funded and directed armed operations against French colonial authorities.

Biographical Record

Brahim Roudani migrated from Taroudant to Casablanca as a young man, building a successful wholesale produce and trucking business. Behind this commercial cover, Roudani was the chief organizer and armorer of the urban underground resistance alongside Mohamed Zerktouni.

He procured rifles, financed safehouses, and managed weapon distribution networks across Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech. Tragic victim of factional violence in the chaotic weeks following independence in July 1956, one of Casablanca's primary avenues bears his name in honor of his immense contribution to Moroccan freedom.
