Mildred 'Babe' Didrikson excelled in basketball, baseball, track and field, tennis, and golf. At the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, she won gold medals in the 80m hurdles and javelin, setting world records in both, as well as a silver medal in the high jump.

Transitioning to golf, she won eighty-two tournaments, including ten major championships, and became the only woman in history to make the cut at a regular PGA Tour event. She co-founded the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) in 1950, revolutionizing women's professional sports.
