Biographical Record

Alberto Ascari (1918–1955) was an Italian racing prodigy who brought Scuderia Ferrari its very first World Drivers' Championships in 1952 and 1953. Known for his immaculate front-running style and precision, Ascari established a record of nine consecutive Grand Prix race wins that stood unbroken for six decades.

Son of Grand Prix driver Antonio Ascari, Alberto tragically died while testing a Ferrari sports car at Monza on May 26, 1955, at the exact same age (36) and under hauntingly similar circumstances as his father.
