Biographical Record

Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti (1445–1505 CE) was a child prodigy who completed memorizing the Quran at eight and was authorized to issue legal fatwas at seventeen.

After retiring at forty to his island hermitage on the Nile, he authored works that unified Islamic scholarship, notably Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Quran and completing Tafsir al-Jalalayn in forty days.
