Biographical Record
Ahmad al-Rifa'i (1118–1182 CE) lived in the marshlands of southern Iraq, attracting hundreds of thousands of disciples through extraordinary humility and charity.
He personally washed lepers, swept the paths of the blind, and fed stray animals; upon visiting the Prophet's tomb in Medina, tradition records his miraculous hand-greeting by the Messenger.
